The first step to signing up for Medicare is… qualifying.
If you don’t qualify for Medicare, you can’t sign up for Medicare.

Once you qualify for Medicare, the next step is to sign up for Medicare Parts A & B. You can do so through medicare.gov or ssa.gov

Plans that fill in the gaps left by Medicare are offered through private insurance companies. This means that you’ll need to sign up for these plans through the insurance company.
